About Me

Hello, my name is Ayisat Afolabi (she/her). I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker with over 5 years of experience working with individuals in marginalized communities, including children in foster care, individuals experiencing homelessness, families involved in the child welfare system, and diverse populations. My work has focused on addressing issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and domestic violence.

I am dedicated to fostering growth and empowerment through a strengths-based lens, trauma-informed approach, and intersectionality framework. I provide a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their strengths, navigate trauma with sensitivity, and understand how their intersecting identities shape their experiences. My therapeutic practice is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and a firm belief in every individual’s potential for healing and resilience.

I believe in personalized approaches to therapy because what works for one person may not work for another. Together, we’ll discover what resonates best for you. Each session is designed to offer kindness, unwavering support, and even a touch of humor. While the journey may challenge you, you’ll have dedicated support every step of the way—you won’t face it alone.

(I work under the clinical supervision of Rocio Villalobos, LCSW, License # 75598.)
