Greetings from Discovery Family Services! I’m Jaydean Leon, your friendly Administrative Assistant, and I’m here to ensure that your journey with us is as seamless and comforting as possible. Born in Boyle Heights, a vibrant part of East Los Angeles, I bring the warmth of my roots to the administrative heart of our mental health clinic.
Education and Background: My educational journey took me from Highland High School, where I graduated in 2016, to California State University of Channel Islands. There, I immersed myself in Health Science, culminating in earning my Bachelor of Science degree in June 2020. As a Palmdale resident since 2004, I’ve become deeply connected to the community we serve.
Role as Administrative Assistant: In my role as the Administrative Assistant at Discovery Family Services, I wear many hats to ensure that our clients and staff experience a welcoming and supportive environment. As your first point of contact, I handle administrative tasks with a smile, making your experience with us worry-free.
Supporting Our Mental Health Providers: I act as a supportive link between our esteemed Mental Health Providers, Clinical Supervisors, and Directors. From liaising with insurance companies to managing therapist calendars and handling paperwork, my goal is to make sure the administrative side of things runs smoothly, allowing our providers to focus on what they do best—providing exceptional care.
Liaison and Communicator: I serve as a bridge between therapists, insurance entities, and third-party payers, ensuring that our clients’ administrative needs are met. Whether it’s coordinating with parties involved in open DCFS cases or facilitating communication, I’m here to make the process as stress-free as possible.
A Bit About Me: Outside of work, I find joy in working out, immersing myself in a good book, and indulging in the world of movies. My passion for healthcare extends beyond the administrative realm, and my future goal is to work in a hospital setting, collaborating with a dedicated team to enhance the lives of others both physically and mentally.
