Crystal Molina, LMFT, APCC
Director of Strategic Planning

Greetings from Discovery Family Services! I’m Crystal Molina, and I’m proud to wear two significant hats – Director of Strategic Planning and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. My journey is rooted in a deep commitment to aiding individuals and families in navigating the intricate paths of mental health and well-being.

Education: My academic foundation includes a BS in Biopsychology from the University of California at Santa Barbara, setting the stage for a nuanced understanding of the biological and psychological aspects of human behavior. Building on this, I earned an MA in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, focusing on Latinx populations, from Pepperdine Graduate School in Education and Psychology.

Professional Licenses: I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (CA. Lic. #140516) and an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (CA. BBS Reg. #9956). These licenses reflect my dedication to providing quality therapeutic services and ongoing professional development.

Therapeutic Expertise: With a rich tapestry of experience, I specialize in helping individuals navigate their thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviors. My therapeutic toolkit includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and an eclectic array of modalities. I have a particular focus on working with parents to foster healthier families and improve their parenting skills. Additionally, I am dedicated to supporting Veterans and Active Military personnel in their unique mental health challenges.

Dual Role: Director of Strategic Planning and Therapist: As the Director of Strategic Planning, I contribute to the growth and vision of Discovery Family Services. My strategic insights guide the clinic toward its mission of comprehensive mental wellness. Simultaneously, as a Therapist, I bring compassion, empathy, and expertise to my therapeutic work. This dual role allows me to contribute not only to the immediate well-being of our clients but also to the long-term vision of our clinic.

Growth and Outreach: While our current focus is on providing exceptional services to our local community, we aspire to grow and serve families throughout California. Our goal is to extend our reach to provide valuable mental health services to individuals and families across the state, with a special dedication to supporting the mental health of Veterans and Active Military personnel.

At Discovery Family Services, we are not just a clinic; we are a community committed to your well-being. I invite you to join us on this journey of growth, healing, and discovery.

If you’re ready to take the next step towards positive change or if you’re a parent, Veteran, or Active Military member seeking support, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I look forward to the privilege of being a part of your transformative journey.
